Edfu Temple - situated half way between Luxor and the Aswan Dam. The temple is dedicated to Horus as this is believed to be the site of his fierce battle with his uncle Seth.
This relief, found inside Edfu temple, shows the highest number ever recorded by the ancient Egyptians.
The Collosus of Memnon. These two statues are of Amenhotep III are named after the Greek God Memnon. During an earthquake in 27 BC, the northern statue was damaged and the statue began to "sing". The Greeks thought this singing was Memnon singing to his mother Eos, goddess of dawn.
The Hatshepsut Temple - legend has it that there is a secret tunnel from this temple through the mountain to the valley of the kings.
